Welcome to the southernmost hostel in Europe - a place for fun, for adventure or just relaxing. Plakias is a quiet backwater away from the hectic north coast of Crete. Some people stay for the wonderful walks in the area. It is still possible to wander off to a lonely beach and see nobody all day. The mountains are for the more energetic. There are also special places known only to the hostel where you can swim in freshwater pools and shower under waterfalls. Then again, some people stay for the beach and the nightlife.We have 6 large bungalows that are all the same with 4 bunks in each, one of the bungalows is for women only.We also provide free use of beach mats, snorkels, etc., and have cheap food and drinks. Open 2 weeks before Easter until the end of October.

Axos is a cozy and pleasant apartment hotel, in a beautiful location and with a great variety of services. Highly recommended as an alternative for those who want to explore majestic Rethymno and its surroundings but don't want to be confined within the city. Its name comes from the village 'AXOS' where the family that runs the hotel comes from, works since 1989 and been fully renovated in 2009. It is a 2 storey white and terra cotta colored building. It is built in an L shape that encloses the pool and garden. There is also a gift/gold shop near the entrance where guests can benefit from an exclusive discount on every purchase. Axos is located in Platanias which is the most well known seaside village for the holidaymakers with restaurants, supermarkets, bars, stores with clothes or souvenirs and with a very good bus and taxi transport. To its guests it offers free Internet at the public areas (lobby, pool, bar) (Wi-Fi) or they can use the PC provided there for the guest and its target is the friendly atmosphere since it is a Family Run hotel. - RATES INCLUDE AIRCONDITIONNO LAST MINUTE BOOKINGSMINIMUM STAY 1 WEEKQuesto nuovo (1997) e ben tenuto complesso, si trova vicino alla piazza di Georgioupolis ed a soli 100 metri dalla spiaggia. Questi due imponenti edifici sono adagiati su di un giardino di 2500 mq. Sono dotati di una zona reception e di un salone. Tutti gli appartamenti sono piacevolmente arredati ed hanno telefono, radio, aria condizionata e cassetta di sicurezza non compresa nei servizi. Le verande offrono vista sulle montagne e sul mare. Le tipologie sono riportate qui di seguito: Tipo A: 18 studio (25 mq) per 2-3 persone, comprensivi di camera da letto/soggiorno con divano letto, angolo cottura, doccia/wc e grande veranda. Dieci di questi sono al piano terra ed otto al primo piano. Tipo B: 11 appartamenti (35 mq) per 2-4 persone con una camera da letto con letti gemelli o letto doppio, con divano letto, soggiorno/pranzo con divano letto, angolo cottura, doccia/wc e grande veranda. Sei degli appartamenti sono a piano terra e cinque al primo piano. Negozi, taverne e minimarket sono tutti a 100 metri di distanza verso l'interno. La fermata degli autobus si trova nelle vicinanze con servizio regolare per Chania e Rethymno. Biancheria ed asciugamani vengono cambiati due volte a settimana e le pulizie vengono effettuate sei volte a settimana. Il paese di Georgiopoulis, con la sua posizione particolare tra il mare e le montagne, si trova tra le citta' di Rethymnon, a 30 minuti di macchina, e di Chania, a 45 minuti di macchina. Questo incantevole paese, con la sua lunga spiaggia di sabbia ed il fiume che sfocia nel mare, e' stato fino a poco tempo fa un pacifico villaggio di pescatori situato in un luogo un po' isolato. Negli ultimi 20 anni e' rapidamente cresciuto, diventando oggi un famoso localita' balneare che offre un'ampia gamma di taverne, negozi, cafe', boutique ed altre attrazioni turistiche. La bellissima campagna circostante e' il posto ideale per chi ama passeggiare, mentre la splendida spiaggia di sabbia e la rilassante amtosfera marina lo rendono il luogo ideale per chi ama la spiaggia. Vi e' un eccellente servizio di autobus che porta in diverse direzioni ed e' percio' facile effettuare gite in posti lontani, per esempio ad Heraklion (90 minuti di distanza) o verso la costa merdionale per visitare Festo o Matala. Una gita a Frangokastello non puo' mancare! Nelle vicinanze vi sono tantissime cose da vedere, come per esempio i quartieri vecchi di Chania o Rethymnon. Il Lago Kournas, famoso per essere l'unico lago di acqua dolce dell'isola e per la fauna selvatica che ospita, e' facilmente raggiungbile a piedi da Georgiopoulis. A poca distanza dal paese si apre una lunga fila di alberghi situati lungo una costa di sabbia fine di circa 10 km di lunghezza con acqua cristallina. Anche se il paese si e' sviluppato molto durante gli ultimi anni una parte dello storico passato e' rimasta: come negli anni che furono, la piazza fiancheggiata di eucalipti, rimane il luogo perfetto dove sedersi e guardare gli abitanti di Georgioupolis che si incontrano nei vari kafenion per scambiarsi le novita' del giorno mentre sorseggiano un caffe' o del tradizionale ouzo.

L'albergo Rea, un impresa di famiglia, vi da il benvenuto in un angolo calmo nel centro della città di Heraklion, esattamente dietro il Museo Storico. Inoltre, si trova soltanto 300m dal famoso Museo Archaeological, dal Vecchio Porto Veneziano e dal mercato centrale. Le stazioni dell'autobus si trovano soltanto pocci passi lontano. Calmo, comodo e con prezzi molto ragionevoli è la scelta perfetta per queli che viaggiano da soli. Girate a sinistra per trovarvi in questa strada. Rimanete su quella direzione e continuate per circa un chilometro.Incontrerete le rovine della vecchia chiesa di San Pietro & Pavlos. Dal altra parte si trova il museo Storico. L'albergo Rea si trova dietro il museo sulla via Kalimeraki.In tassì: c'è sempre un tassì disponibile all'aeroporto. Il prezzo del tassì è approssimativamente 10 Euro.Con l'autobus: L'autobus numero 1 realizza il transporto urbano dal aeroporto nel centro della città. Scendete alla stazione 'Meintani' (una stazione prima della piazza della libertà). Andate giù per la strada Handakos (un viale pedonale). Dopo alcuni metri, vedrete l'albergo Rea alla vostra destra.Dal Porto:Con l'auto: Dopo essere usciti dal porto girate a destra. Continuate in quella strada e direzione per circa 700 metri. Incontrerete le rovine della vecchia chiesa di San Pietro & Pavlos. Dal altra parte si trova il museo Storico. L'albergo Rea si trova dietro il museo sulla via Kalimeraki.In tassì: C'è sempre un tassì disponibile all porto. Il prezzo del tassì è approssimativamente 5 Euro.Con i piedi: Dopo essere usciti dal porto girate a destra. Continuate in quella strada e direzione per circa 700 metri. Incontrerete le rovine della vecchia chiesa di San Pietro & Pavlos. Dal altra parte si trova il museo Storico. L'albergo Rea si trova dietro il museo sulla via Kalimeraki. Il tempo che cì vuole per raggiungerci a piedi e circa 15-20 minuti.

Welcome to Lasithi Plateau, a place of unique natural beauty - a unique geological formation. As we know from Greek Mythology it was here, where Zeus, father of the Gods, was born and brought up. And it became world famous for its thousands of windmills that composed and unprecedented scene. In the Village of Jermiadon (Tzermiadon), which lies in the middle of Lasithi Plateau, at an altitude of 900 m, you can find the traditional apartments 'Argoulias'. This is the oldest neighborhood of the village that was restored with respect to the traditional architecture and materials compatible to the environment (stone, tiles and wood). It comprises 11 stone-built apartments, each with two rooms, a separate bathroom, cooking facilities, a lounge with a fireplace, central heating and a balcony that offers a breath taking view of Lasithi Plateau and the mountain chain Dikti. There are also two communal living and dining rooms where our guests can come together.
